Look at them clouds
Like cotton over the searching eyes
Soft and fluffy
Like a kitty’s coat
Evaporation
Condensation
Cumulus
Nebulous
Heavy as my heart
All the vapour sponged in
Waiting to explode
I can already smell the raindrop hit the ground
Why watch the stars?
When you can watch them
Shape shifting clouds
They tell our stories as
We walk down on earth
Our heads to the ground
Just look around!
Shape shifting clouds
ReplyDeleteThey tell our stories as
We walk down on earth
Our heads to the ground
Nicely done!!
Thanks!
DeleteI agree why watch the stars when clouds prove to be so much more inspirational! ❤️
ReplyDeleteIndeed <3
DeleteOur world is so beautiful. There is something for everyone , the seas, the skies, the forests, mountains and animals, birds, fish and so much more. Lets hope we love them enough them to keep them for our children. We can't just rely on poets to tell the world but we will try!
ReplyDeleteThese things will long remain after we're gone :)
DeleteThere's something about the smell of the world before a good rainstorm. I too have been captivated by a sky before the storm.
ReplyDeletepetrichor is bliss
DeleteLove this line — “I can already smell the raindrop hit the ground...” I immediately was there with you.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, these shape shifting clouds portray so much and these stories can indeed bind us in their beautiful narrative. I love what you did here: "Heavy as my heart /All the vapour sponged in/Waiting to explode".
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love the smell of petrichor. Not a cloud in the sky yesterday but still I gazed at that beautiful blue. But I love watching the stars as well.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of inspiration and solace we can gain if we just look above

ReplyDeleteClouds are so amazing. I love to watch them. Yesterday I saw a line of clouds that almost looked like handwriting. Yes, thank you for telling people to look up!

Looking! With such an invitation, I see what's there as well as my dreams.

DeleteI like the idea of clouds telling our stories........the image of us walking around with our heads down looking at the ground makes me think clouds exist to remind us to Keep Looking Up! Smiles.
