You asked me out
I said I will rather die from the gout
You then claimed I wasn't clear
and wanted me to come near
If i could just open my ears
and only hear
how much "I love you my dear"
You can call me a hoe
but No means No.
I blocked you there
and to be honest
what I thought was everywhere.
and now you have the gall to come HERE
my blog my sacred sanctuary
and comment without your name!
Have you no shame?
This is not a game.
You may low
and lamenting full of sorrow
but a NO is still a NO
I report you to your boss
and you spew more lies
I am not Rachel
you are definitely NO Ross &
we definitely were never friends
So please don't try to make amends.
No will always be No
and No you cannot call me a hoe.
or a bro.
Amazing poem Semi. So proud of you my friend. Very well said.
ReplyDeleteThis is the third poem I read now that deals with the underbelly of the male population... I think you made yourself very clear.
ReplyDeleteVery timely as the UN has declared an international Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25th. What you describe is one way it starts, and indeed is now illegal in at least some countries. I hope he reads your poem and takes it to heart!
ReplyDeletePS As a staff member of Poets United I have removed your second link, as we ask people to link to only one piece of writing. You might like to link that piece on a future occasion instead.
ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly poignant. Some guys just can't take no for an answer.
ReplyDeleteIt is horrible when they violate the sacred space of your blog. Grrrrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteIt is ho, not hoe. But I get it. Another poem about the evil that lives in men, sadly. No means no...good message.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMany of my friends have horror stories to tell about guys like this.
