NO

Dedicated to the man because of whom anonymous comments are disabled for all. And who is now commenting on a fake id now.

You asked me out
I said I will rather die from the gout
You then claimed I wasn't clear
and wanted me to come near
If i could just open my ears
and only hear
how much "I love you my dear"

You can call me a hoe
but No means No.

I blocked you there
and to be honest
what I thought was everywhere.
and now you have the gall to come HERE
my blog my sacred sanctuary
and comment without your name!
Have you no shame?
This is not a game.

You may low
and lamenting full of sorrow
but a NO is still a NO

I report you to your boss
and you spew more lies
I am not Rachel
you are definitely NO Ross &
we definitely were never friends
So please don't try to make amends.

No will always be No
and No you cannot call me a hoe.
or a bro.

A hard day's night

Sometimes
Whatever you touch turns to gold
And people sing your praises
And name their babies after you

But mostly
It is a crap fest
And walk in the dark
A whole lot of ‘learning’ and ‘hardwork’
Without reward or due.

It is very easy to get disheartened
Or a whiny loser
A self-fulfilling prophecy
Which can be avoided
With a bit of grit

Bite your teeth
Get down to work
Not to prove anyone wrong
But prove yourself right

The world openly admires talent
And secretly respects hardwork
Become as good as you think you are
Take these bad days as a boon
Or fool yourself with any b.s
Anything which helps you sleep at night
So that you live to fight and win another day.

Actual experience makes clichés real
And superstition into faith
And a bad day
A good one

Solo

Solo

Melancholy strings madly strumming like a guitar
Carnivorous id ravishing my morality from deep within
Inverted sleep cycles make me question reality
A madwoman NOT at work
I play a multi note orchestra
To the current people of my life

Friends and family run fast
Away or Towards
I’m not sure.

I have sat in silence too long
To continue the arrangement
Where I move my mouth
And you sing my song.

I will sing till
my larynx tears
Your eardrum.
The blood that will fall
Is a pittance compared to the pain
You so casually caused

So listen to me
Sing my glorious solo
With my mistakes and all
And this time

Judge me
for who I really am.

Plato's Fault

Tick Tock
Tock Tick
Tick Tock!

Exam in 11 hours , 3 new questions to do and 34 more to revise. They hadn’t slept in 3 days due to the previous 3 back to back exams…..

Crushed Red bull cans and empty mugs which once contained black coffee lay on the hostel corridor along with 4 girls who were splayed across sheetless mattresses dumped onto the corridor from their respective rooms. The corridor overlooked the normally empty grounds of the hostel which was now patrolled by sleepless students scrambling about in despair.

JJ’s eyelids were closing in on her against her will. Not now baby… only 1 more exam then Freedom 4evaaa! Almost echoing the same sentiments, came a voice from the other side of the mattress with a hollow , dreamlike quality “You know what is the true freedom? Sleeping forever…for eternity”
The voice belonged to Kalra , she who loved saying crazy things for the sake of drama and she who sometimes was drama itself in a human shape. The third one , ‘Rambo’ had given up on life after being utterly exhausted and had taken the student’s route to conquer it – apply some Zandu Balm on bread and Bam! You got your energy. In rambo’s case since she was a bit big , she overestimated how much she needed and had way too much and now she was high as high can be and was just rolling around and annoying others.

Wait. What was that noise? Oh that’s anan
“After a certain point you just have to admit that NOBODY gives a flying ___ about what Plato , Aristotle or Aquinas gotta say. What about what we have got to say? I had no say when papa wanted me to follow his footsteps and become a lawyer. I must be the only person in India who wanted to become an engineer and wasn’t allowed to become one!”
She moped in her shrill sad voice as she always did. Her friends had only eye rolls to offer her. Rolling Rolling Rolling
That’s what happens when you realise that you hate your career choice every exam time and resolve to tell dad you are quitting, only to come back placated, thanks to the latest iPhone he bribed you with. You lose the moral ground pretty fast. Sorry Anan
“ If you keep telling me this story I’ll end up writing it instead of this Hobbes theory lololol” JJ started crying out in laughter. She is losing it! And yes she is one of those cases who ‘say’ LOL. God bless them.

So JJ continued with her Hobbes theory despite lack of sleep and overdose of laughter. That dude apparently believed that law is a social contract that the first generation of beings voluntarily gave up their  rights for and the forthcoming generations have no option to get out of it. Isn’t consent material to any contract? This is just plain fraud and coercion on the state’s part! I don’t want skl , college , job , government , taxes , pathan notes and red bull cans! But I am forced to take part in all this because someone already decided what ‘civilisation’ is. Why can’t there be a strip of land where people who don’t wanna be part of the contract can like chill and make rocks out of fire without the government asking us to pay taxes. wHYY?

But before she could Rambo woke up with a start. She looked into Kalra’s eyes and smiled serenely. Kalra got scared and asked her “ what is wrong with you Behen..”
“ Behen! I have figured out life” she spoke manically not unlike a religious fanatic “ We have been going about it all wrong. The point of life is not being awake , the point of life , the point is to sleep! We are supposed to find food for energy purposes , eat them and go to sleep where we can live in our dreams , where anything and everything is possible. There is no limits of logic and physics in our head. We could enjoy being a millionaire and have an eight course meal and feel everything. Isn’t life all about feeling and perceiving. It is not what it is but what it can be. With more sleep and practice I believe we can control our dreams and that is how we fulfil our destiny. What the hell are we doing reading Plato and Aristotle when we can be our own thinkers? When did the world decide we have finished establishing rules. Omg I’m gonna copyright all this. Yipee! Bye losers , I’m becoming famous”
Rambo got up and ran to other parts of the hostel to scare more poor souls. The other 3 silent looked at each other not sure what they should. Wake up the warden and tell her that Rambo has lost it? But who wasn’t losing it? Some only more than others.

“ We ALL have theories and ideas. But we don’t publish it and force other people to study it in one day and make them go mad” wailed anan.
“I don’t think Plato set our exam papers anan..” quipped JJ.
“ Arey JJ , no one wants your stupid logic. Okay I am getting bored. Teach me something about your South India.” butted in Kalra
“ Kalra , if you can at least tell me the names of the 4 Southern states , I’ll try”
“I know that your name is Jayalalitha and that’s funny cuz your dead CM had the same name. Okay don’t get pissed. Mallu Land, Madras , telugu nadu and the other one I forgot”
“ Wow , I hope that you can retain at least the name of the people you have to write about tomorrow”
Mildly offended Kalra lashed out “ Tell me, does your Chinnai have Punjabi food like naan and butter chicken?”
JJ lost it , “ Enough of this b.s , I don’t live in a village. Obviously we have everything!”
“Saali , what I wrong with villages. Don’t show off your big city arrogance”
“ You started it , you racist prick!”
Sensing a cat fight which no one had the energy to fight Anan chipped in , “Guys! Don’t let Plato destroy our friendship. This is ALL plato’s fault!”
They hadn’t come to an agreement on that quite yet when a loud noise came from above shocking them. No guys it wasn’t Plato coming back to defend his now tarnished image but it was the drug addled Rambo! She had managed to find a dangerously high place to stand on.
“ Everything is fake! Dreams are what is. To prove this truth which no one seems to believe I am going to jump from here because I know that I am trapped in an eternal nightmare called reality.Cheer me on ladkiyon!”
Her friends gaped in horror as she took the plunge and came crashing down. Her eyelids were shut firmly and finally..

Tick Tock
Tock Tick
Tick Tock

The clock was ticking in the exam hall and Rambo woke up from her dreams. Didn’t know how much of that was a dream! Did she have zandu balm , was she on the roof , lol did she have friends by the name JJ , Kalra and Anan even? She didn’t know anything , couldn’t focus. However , she did recall the answer to Plato’s Republic. Truly this is all his fault.

The seeker

I seek inspiration
for writing is easy no more
thoughts ebb rather than flow
instinctual illumination and enlightenment
which once defined me
sounds like something from a bygone era.

Words don't even exist
to sound stifled or stymied
everything feels mechanical
excitement doesn't really tickle my heart
when I think of blogging

I can hear wordpress whispering to me
that blogger is an un-updated relic ,
I can feel the crunch of not having enough content
to be eligible for adsense
or enough drive
to submit to a blogadda

References I make feel like
the Dorne storyline from Game of Thrones -
They just don't make sense.
Everything I put pen to, sounds so unoriginal
or better put by somebody else.

I used to sound light hearted even when i was trying not to be -
much to my chagrin in fact ,
but now i sound like cranky ranter
venting her turmoil in public webspace
Basically I have become somebody ,
I used to laugh at.

But yeah , things change.
For better or worse
and you have to go with the flow
Isn't that what "Steady Meanderings" is all about?
I ask myself
In that minuscule moment
I get a brief glimpse of
What I used to be
or what I could be,
If only I could get rid of these not so insane negative thoughts.

This pity party has to stop asap
I need to write,sketch , scribble something
meander somewhere
anywhere but here.

For that ,
I seek inspiration

Imagine Mountains

What do mountains mean to me?
Eons back!
At my lowest they are insurmountable challenges that I look up at , with more awestruck worry than inspired determination. Being a fretful diva , I tend to feel that these imaginary mountains are firmly embedded on my tired shoulders.
I hate their stupid hairpin bends , which give my already motion sick tummies a valid reason to unburden themselves. I have a distinct memory of myself , a 7 year old shutting my eyes very tightly whilst hugging my dad’s lap as the auto went up the mountain. Like the tightness and resultant blindness has anything to do with my body’s capacity to deal with the stress of travel!
Oh how I hate the mountains.
Then I climbed a hill. By myself – 2 years back? Symbolism and travelling aside , they do have a plus. They have peaks!
The exhilaration you get when you reach the top , the air feeling fresher than it was a couple of feets ago.
The panaroma! Everything looks small from the top. It gives you perspective , humility – which I lack in abundance.
If you can feel that up a hill , you can definitely feel it up a mountain right?
I don't know why I trekked but I am glad I did.
But Mountain is also the dude from Game of thrones who killed Oberyn Martell!
So maybe I have mixed feelings about mountains.

I scaled a huge mental mountain today. Scaled one without giving up , a bit battered and bruised and I am definitely feeling the high xD but what happens after this? Climbing down can be slippery , definitely if you’re taking the surfboard called fun down it. Imageries aside, being a beach person I wanted to thank all the mountain people who helped me in this climb. I didn’t necessarily enjoy it but it was an adventure nonetheless. Thank you.

Hope you all enjoy the high too. Think about that if you’re climbing a steep path yourself.

Okay I will stop.

Bye!

So what do mountains mean to you?

8

Hi readers! Thanks for sticking around even when I don't write for months. I was having a writer's block of sorts and generally a rough phase in my life. The poem I'm publishing below is a very personal one and took a great deal of bravery from my side to be even posted. Many friends dissuaded me from sharing this particular chapter of my life. I have written on what it is like, to feel like a failure even when you know that you aren't one. It might seem like a small problem to most of you but I assure you that it has taken its toll on my life. However , I've recovered enough to talk about it now and share it with others , for I know that I'm not alone and want others to not feel alone too. This post does not intend to be negative , it just captures one of the darker phases of my life. There is always light at the end of the tunnel , I just chose to project the darkness this time. Thank you.

People who get 98 start behaving like a 98
The poor ones who get an 8
Can’t help but feel like one.
Especially when you shower them with
Your 98 tonnes of optimism
It is not you , it is not them
It is the 8
Not the end of the world
But an 8.

Supposedly a learning curve
But unfortunately
Mostly a slippery slope
A direct downward spiral
Into the invisible abyss
Of mass mediocrity .

Which they have been trying to avoid ,
Even when they were at their
Personal Everest of fame.
What can you really do?
When your personal brilliance
Gets scraped off your skin
With the harsh gravel
That is your education system.

Don’t worry about your results.
Just give your best every time
Even if you fail almost every time
For faults that you never made.
Don’t worry , Don’t feel , Don’t care
Just play fruit ninja
And believe that it is not your fault
That you failed.

Keep playing fruit ninja ,
Knowing you did nothing to deserve that 8 .
Keep playing till you break all levels
Till you start doubting the veracity of your claims
Till you start doubting the obvious.

You know you did nothing wrong.
But where is the proof?
Who feels like shit?
Not that you know how shit really feels like
But you get the gist.

Who feels depressed all the time ,
Not able to cope with a seemingly
Erroneous failure ,
You or university or god?

Till the day of hopefully inevitable rectification
Who has to squirm every time they hear an 8?
The number you once loved
Because it was so easy to draw
Till you found out 2 O’s wasn’t the way anyways.
The number which you mastered
To apply for license .
The number you cannot help but hate irrationally.
Now.

If what happened was so irrational
As everyone makes it out to be,
Why can’t we have our own irrational outburst to it?

Functioning after a failure is tough
Even for the best of us.
It is like learning to walk
With broken legs
Which aren’t set properly.
Extending the stick called sensitivity
Is more than welcome.

It might be not as grave as it sounds
But it certainly feels that way.
Outpouring of grief on virtual paper
Might never solve anything ,
But what else can one do really?

No one can control anything.
Except the person who gives me
Marks it seems.

Hold on.

(A poem ,a song? I don't know , what I just wrote down. But , I wrote it with all my heart - at least the tiny broken pieces left of it )
P.s - all pics taken from google only.

HOLD ON

Hey you!
This moment ain’t permanent.
Embrace it.

I know it ain’t a new gospel
Or something.
But it is true.

There will come an international relations paper
Which gives you the feeling
That you aced it.
Embrace it.
Because it ain’t permanent bro.

This moment when you
Open your contracts question paper
Well prepared with all the
Expected questions of the
Last 5 years.
And life/god/nature/paper setter
Decides to ask that 20 mark question
Which has never been asked in the past
12 years.

Remember!
This also ain’t permanent bro.
Don’t embrace this godforsaken moment
Try shrinking it away by
Not giving it enough importance
Don’t repress it though ,
You might get cancer.
But that is because
Everything causes cancer nowadays.

Please hold on to that moment
When your lady love
Walks down the aisle
Clothed head to toe in white
And love , full of life.
Because
You might lose your best friend in a
Helicopter crash
And your lady love loses her left leg
And blames you
And you end up having to leave her
Since you forget when you laughed last .
Thank you Shonda Rhimes
You have taught me
That this moment ain’t permanent.

Damn you T.V shows.

If that isn't enough,
You are one moment in the 6th grade
Declaring you’ll all be besties for life
And the next moment
You are walking down the same streets
5 years later ,
With not even 1 bestie in sight
Separated by change in schools , colleges, cities
Not
Your dramatic fights , jealousy or treachery
Just
Life simply moving on
With or without you.

Time makes us forget , not care any more
Just move on to
Another set of unrelated events
to be embroiled in &
Which we strive to find meaning in.

We will never learn
To cope with all the broken hearts
And badly meandered relationships
The least we could try
Is to
Hold on to this moment
This beautiful one which you
Hope to recall
When a lorry is coming out of nowhere
To take your life

That safe moment
When your dad holds your hands in his
So casually yet so reassuringly.
That crazy moment when
You jumped off the seat
Watching a very funny movie with your friends.
Or quite simply
The ones after a very good meal.

Because brace yourself babies,
Life is just behind that curb
Waiting to bulldoze this
One moment
With a million messy ones

Hold on.

And we blog and blog and blog!

Not sleeping exactly
After a rather romantic surprise early last month stoopid semi went off to hibernate -_- It is perfectly alright to think so beCAUSEE ------------------------------- It is the truth :P However you should empathize or at least sympathize with her plight. She was working her socks off , for her first terms exams , which doesn't matter in anyway to the boards.
But her question is this. Why should the boards matter? Many of you may feel that that the answer is quite simple  . Board exams = marks = good college = good job = good life. Too simple , too easy. Call me a non conformist or for that matter, a communist , For what difference does that actually make to you?  But what I feel is this :
"Education is about learning for your intrinsic needs , which in the process satisfy your extrinsic ones "
Oh I do sound like a thinker :P
What we study should actually interest and make sense to us and let us apply it in daily life. And it should satisfy our desire to understand what we are studying. C'mon guys , even the person who opens the book in the last minute would love to know what the page actually means , sure he ends up mugging and reciprocating it in the paper . But no one would shy away from the chance to run away from understanding something , when they have the choice. Would they?

And like  spidey says We always have a choice!

And whatever we hereby learn should help us get marks. It should not be the other way round. I see my teachers teach and some of them are so obsessed about what questions they ask in boards , how your answers should match the answer key of the board examiners , how your handwriting should appeal to the board examiner etc etc etc.
Yes , presentation is good. But should all the learning i get be shaped so that it fetches me the maximum marks . I prefer not. Studying that way , will not allow me to read the para in the front and the back which may matter more in my comprehension of a passage than the para itself.

Hope you can make sense outta that senseless rant , which is done with an evergrowing hatred for examinations.

Now i feel selfish and rather sorry for ranting . However as my delete key is not co operating , I have decided to continue. But this time into more pleasant matters.

Whats been up off late?
ICC WORLD T20 CUP ~ Yes , the ipl is more attractive and champions league is literally the clash of the titans yet nothing beats an intense Ind vs pak match or an Aus vs windies or Aus vs eng match (ashes much? ) We are in the super eight stages now and Group A consisting of  Australia , India , Pakistan and South Africa seems very tight!
Yuvi the man <3
While India was trashed by Australia( by 9 wickets) - thanks to Watson . It inflicted a 8 wicket loss on pakistan xD  It is a popular saying that the pak ppl lose to everyone but the indians . However , yesterday prove that the trend has reversed , pakistanis win with everyone ( including the all mighty S.Africans ) but Indians!! They lost the battle mentally , we could see by the way mohammed hafeez and shoaib malik got out!!
India put to rest all qualms about its team composition , which really didn't need have been so severely by the critics. Then again the media is news crazy and the people are cricket crazy. Dhoni proved that he is most comfortable with 7 batsmen 4 bowlers . And we really don't have the bowling resources to go all the way into the competition. Hope we spin ourselves to victory .

MAD about 39 clues!!
Jesss. After reading too many slow paced classics , its time to put on the safety belt and get ready for this roller coaster ride! Expect no literary richness or awesomely complex sentence formations , What you'll get is non stop action. BANG BANG BOOM.
Amy and Dan are orphans with a rich grandmother. When she dies they expect a grand inheritance instead they are informed that their family - the cahills are one of the most powerful lineages of this century and they could either hop on a clue hunt for the greatest treasure of the world or opt out for a million bucks! They obviously choose the more exciting part.
But ouch , their  aunt decides to put them in the foster care and the social services are after them. Off with their cool au pair / babysitter Nellie they travel on this thrilling quest all around the world with powerful enemy cum relatives like the rich kabras popular jonah intelligent alaistair oh and cunning irina and strong holts close behind their heels.
From america to fance to vienna and venice the locales thrill us. Third book even takes us to Japan! surely this is one heck of a series and lets all read all the nine books and enjoy :)

Lets add some more colour to our post :)
The movies of the month!
While Barfi! has wowed everyone with its beauty and subtlety heroine has shocked and bored everyone with its sleaziness and predictable scandals . However as i haven't watched both the movies , I can't really comment upon them much.  ( Then y did u even write abt it? :P Eye candy anyone?)

Looks like the tamil film Thandavam has interested everyone with its style and intelligence. Full marks to chiyaan vikram for pulling of another great performance! I will comment more elaborately on this film , when i finish watching it tomorrow!!

I know that this post is as random as it gets and is a desperate attempt to just write something . However , i have a promise to make . I am surprisingly free this month and I intent to write about one of the following at least : -

  • next part of love story
  • The stalker story
  • Something on current affairs
  • club le mubbu - girls style :P
I know this is pretty vague. But this must be one of the bigger promises I've made in my life :P Not a very reliable person , I am .

AND the craziest song to go viral. Gangnam style \m/ <3

evergreen classic - which i stumbled upon only recently

and an absolutely disgusting copy of slim shady. Eminem fans please spam and kill this video!!

Yours Specially

"Get this straight first. They are called special children because they make YOU feel special"
As welcome as those colorful balloons are to a naughty kid with
a pin xD
And how true it turned out to be =') Never in the 16 years of my life have I felt this welcome. Just proved that you do NOT need a welcome mat , the costly and cozy things or even politeness (the quintessential host 'etiquette' ) to make a  person feel more at home. All you need is some love , which would permeate in to your surroundings like a pepper started sneezing bout , however bad your habitat may look extrinsically.

The thing which annoys people like me , who were blessed enough to meet these children , is the large
scale amount of stigma and ignorance looming around them , the thing which proudly goes around with its ballooned chest swelling with ridiculous rumors  and  a very long nose poking into every person's private life , which goes about the all important name 'society'. I really want to meet those 'four people' , one has to be constantly wary and worried of  - . -
It is just sad , this inborn/ in place tendency to ridicule the different (and therefore) discriminated amongst us. And funnily enough , my usually lame and spammy sociology book came up with one of the best put lines ever.
"The disabled are rendered disabled not because they are biologically/inherently disabled , but because the SOCIETY renders them so".

No fancy words , one might argue. But it hits the bulls eye in terms of delivering the intended message. Yes , there are some kids out there who have a predisposition for certain problems , but it is us , the all ominous  society , who act as the pathogenic stressors most of the times. The family and social support system one gets born into makes a whole world of difference. For example , one of my new friends Varadharajan ( :D ) although born with severe mental retardation keeps asking for his parents  in his own distinct way (for he is not gifted like us to form coherent words.)
It just about breaks your heart when he points outside the window and shouts 'drrrr' to enact a bus engine. His parents who are just a bus drive away are allowed to meet him only two times a month , unlucky them x/ The deal is done , when he repeatedly taps yours shoulder and calls you 'amma' ...
"Well my friend's name was Nikhitesh, and guess what? He can dance for 40 minutes straight, and is an avid folk dancer. He can draw, and he can sing. I can only shake myself a little bit and say I can dance,I can copy and say I can draw, and I cannot sing. And still people call them inferior. They call people like Nikhitesh as victims and pity them. But then we are in the wrong people. We need to learn a lot from them, and no one is superior or inferior. Everyone is equal, but they still outshine us. And guess what, Nik ( I gave him this name, thanks to my North Indian accent I cant pronounce this name) is just 11 yrs old. And me? I am 17 yr old. Need I say more."
shares our friend prerna , who was also privileged enough to meet and interact with one of the special ones.
One of my friends ran up to me after the visit and asked me one of the more poignant questions in life ,

"Dude ,  how lucky are we to be  born  normal?"
Problems.
By the time you finish your first meeting with them , you would most probably be ashamed for thinking that you had 'problems' with your life. Don't get me wrong , to his / her their problem is the utmost important and requires not to be shooed away without any thought. Yet , the mountain looks like a molehill , when you interact with others , who endure more than their share of problems , from the nature and society , for no mistake they ever did.
We miss the innocent times x)
And to top it all off ,  THEY   don't seem to actually have a problem with the life they were gifted. Not one child in that mental health ward looked sad , even the ones affected with depression taking an effort to be amiable with the strangers who were visiting them . Their innocent and simple outlook in life is what we are sorely missing in our over complicated analysis of our life and problems. Please! , ones who think their lives suck because of inept boyfriends/girlfriends , over workload , body weight , skincolor or sheer boredom , i again say Please! please visit these mental health care centers and spend a few hours with these children. Else , you would be needing to meet a counselor yourself real soon.
Visiting these places is a two way thing.
a) It would make these children or even adults ( with the heart of a child) unconditionally happy! You are actually doing a service and great help by showering some attention to ones who are being grossly overlooked by negligence and selective blindness.
b) The thought of some one  to share their time with , gets such unanimous support that it is bound to make you feel someone special :) It is a beautiful cycle .
c) You would mock your problems rather letting it go the other way and mock you! At least you would be shamed and humbled enough for the time being to not let such petty problems invade your thoughts.
d) You are playing your small part in removing this stigma attached to being different or deviant. By becoming aware about the true meaning of mentally affected people you are passively help bring a change so big that one day a society where everyone would be  accepted for who she/he is. ( Utopian indeed)

I do not know what I plan to achieve with all this rambling. If at least one of you become sensitive enough to other people's weaknesses and stop making derogatory statements pointing to it , you receive my utmost respect. Also children like varadharajan , nikhitesh , kalaiarasi and rakshitha.... are waiting for you to visit them!

Stressbusters! ~

Time is NOTHING.
Yes...I am late again. But just learnt there is no such thing as time. It is a relative thing =] and just for your information, although studying psychology is cool and all it has some repercussions on your mental health. It makes you think too much. And we all know too much of anything is never good.

This must explain it

Maybe I found an exception! Too much of fun is surely never bad! :@ And following the Freudian theory of regression ( yes , we have cool words too B) ) it is found that Individuals who find it difficult to deal with a certain developmental stage REGRESS backwards to their earlier stage. To make it simple: - exhausted overworked professionals giving it all up and becoming fun loving :D

Whatever pussy says :*
Although , I am not exactly under a pressure cooker here , I can see many others feeling the heat already and surely there are many little wonders out there who take life too seriously. I have this aunt who actually has no problems in life and so obsesses over the kuttiest of things like me calling her boring :P Ok that was a badly made up lie , but there ARE some among us who needs to bust their stress before the stress busts them!

When was the time you had the most fun in your life until now?

I confess. Its fun even now!

Anyone who had a decent enough childhood would say they had fun they were ten! When else could you be lame enough to jump on the puddles which have water logged after yesterday's rain (filled with malaria and dengue) and still love it? When else could you make 'four cups' out of paper and predict what you're friend would become in life? xD My favorite one was 'pichakari' :P ( beggar) This one send me to splits even now - covering the table with an enormous bed sheet and going underneath it and having your own 'tent' made B)Surely while all these bring forth a smile in your face , they cannot be practically practiced without you being kicked back to kilpauk mental health facility or worse , being preached by our wise teachers and parents. So all this while , while you were thinking semi was one lazy blogger , I was busy formulating my very  own list of  games which does a balancing act of barathanatyam between being stupid and fun. Beware . this line may not be the same for everyone , but at least we are TRYING to have fun. So please don't comment on how juvenile this is..

  2. What to do when you have a very lame English teacher, trying to DICTATE answers for an English lesson? :/ Simple enough. Take out your English notebook ( i.e.  if you have one , any presentable looking book with a not atrocious cover is fine) and open a random page approximately close to the no. of times you have had a boring English class. Take a 30 cm ruler and a sharp apsara pencil or use your almost alcoholically behaving hand and give the scale made straight lines a run for its money. Draw four of these imperfectly perfect straight lines. And name them NAME, PLACE, MOVIE, THINGS. Heard of it before? It is the cooler sister of the lame ‘name, place , animal, things'. Name can be a celebrity's name or better if you live in a country of a school like me - name of school mates :P Surely there would be one rajesh , ram or rhea! Place can be anywhere from mundakanniam koil street to Luxembourg or Vladivostok. It all depends on your creativity. Movie is of course the coolest. Often amateurs find it difficult to spontaneously fill these columns. That is why one should read cinema plus and Chennai times regularly. And "why THINGS?" you may ask. For many interesting combinations arise when one has to write the name of a thing. According to our law. "Anything which is called an it IS a thing" . And we are still debating whether igloo is a thing.  Btw, I forgot to mention how the game works. Choose an alphabet through some method and fill the columns according to the topic. Ten points for every right answer which isn't the same as the other player's2.
2.What do you do when you have a bunch of bored and tired looking people near you. Play LONDON LONDON STATUE. One must act like a statue and not move , even if the 'catcher' guy is laughing at your face/ catatonic positions / the seemingly determined look not to laugh. If you are stupid enough to not laugh , people start taking pictures of your pose =} There , there. How it must feel like to be the statue guy in VGP amusement park :O

3  Bingo. I am not explaining this classic. GOOGLE it. Even though it seems like what you should be playing when you are retired and seventy it is not bad. Devising algorithms and formulas to attain bingo is just not possible. This girl called chandy has been winning it since she was born (ok, konjam exaggeration) and she does it effortlessly. People call it luck .I call it filling the blanks as one shouts the number :P And there is always this poor kid who never gets Bingo however hard she tries =)
     4.
Its that simple :)
Wink. However precarious ;) smiley is , the game is not bad. There is this killer guy and the cop. The killer has to wink at the poor kids who are nothing but blank chits waiting to be winked at by him. The cop who announces or doesn't announces himself catches the cheeky criminal. Caution - Don't get angry at the kids who wink with both their eyes , blank chits whose normal blinks looks like an intentional red herring of a wink , and the cowardly criminal who takes too long to  wink. Its all in the game pa.
5.Dumb charades. Since your class has been officially banned from culturals for their 'behavioral problems' , it is time for them prove that they have what it takes to form the best DUMB C team xD Divide the already 'divided' class into two groups. Do it in the traditional way of having two captains who pick their member one at a time. Eg " Myself , myself , Tom , Nooot tom ok Dick , Harry B)" :P Giving the tough ones like 'apocalypto' or 'eragon' seem like humble shepherd's pie in comparison to the hindi ones like "howrah bridge pe latakti hui lash". The war is on my dear soldiers!! B)
Even google couldn't find "howrah bridge pe latakti hui lash"

If these awesome games do not bust your stress then you are beyond redemption or in the principal's office why london london statue required to act like a fly stuck to the wall :D

Se you soon
